Bucks for Charity 2014

Bucks for Charity Drive

Faculty, staff, retirees, and students on the Columbus campus have the opportunity to support many worthwhile central Ohio environmental, health, and human service agencies during the Bucks For Charity Drive. Coordinators in each college, department, and office across the Columbus campus contact colleagues to request their participation in this important fund-raising effort. This year’s goal is $1,150,000 – with a focus on increasing participation campus-wide. Individuals may support preferred charities through one-time contributions (cash or check) or through payroll deduction pledges. All contributions are tax-deductible. The eleven (11) non-profit central Ohio organizations participating in the Bucks For Charity Drive are: Community Health Charities of Ohio, EarthShare Ohio, Community Shares of Mid Ohio, Mid Ohio Foodbank, The United Negro College Fund, United Way of Central Ohio, United Way of Delaware County, United Way of Licking County, United Way of Pickaway County, United Way of Union County and United Way of Fairfield County.

Message from Leaders

Dear Colleagues:

Our faculty, staff and students are part of a spirited and collaborative university community. We are also part of the greater central Ohio community and share the values, dreams and ambitions of all central Ohioans. Unfortunately, many of our neighbors' dreams are cut short by economic hardship, with basic needs going unmet.

The Ohio State University Columbus campus will conduct its 2014 Bucks for Charity Drive from September 15 through November 14. The Bucks for Charity Drive provides us with an opportunity to support hundreds of not-for-profit organizations and help neighbors in need.

This year, Bucks for Charity will feature exciting enhancements, including a new website and the launch of E-Pledge, an online pledging system accessible from any computer.

Your participation in the Bucks for Charity Drive is critically important to making a difference for thousands of central Ohioans. Please help us achieve this year's goal of $1.15 million with your generous support. Together we can make a positive impact in our community!
